There are undoubtedly more good people in this world than bad. When tragedy strikes, like the severe weather the southern part of the United States has experienced in the last few weeks, angels seem to appear out of nowhere. They may not be anyone we know, and we may never see them again, but they are there to help and sometimes even save our lives.
Woman Thanks A Hero Named Roy Following Hurricane Milton
The unnamed woman told Fox News she tried to walk to a friend’s house during Hurricane Milton but soon realized she couldn’t make it four blocks. As she walked, flood waters began to rise quickly, and she was having trouble staying upright. Suddenly, a man saw her struggling and pulled her into his house.
“He had no idea who I was. And his name is Roy. And I want to say, Roy, thank you for saving my life… I almost died,” she shared through tears.
Her story is just one of many shared about heroes and people coming together to help total strangers in need during Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Fox News shared the clip on Instagram, and followers chimed in, thanking Roy.
“Thank you Roy, whoever you are. You’re a good man for saving this poor woman,” someone wrote.
“Thank God for men like Roy! I love that even in the face of tragedy and fear America can set aside their differences and help each other out,” someone agreed.
So did this person, “These disasters are devastating, but it gives us opportunity to show compassion and support and it makes the bad a little better choose humanity.”
