The Los Angeles-area home of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman was reportedly burglarized, and fans are expressing relief that the A-list couple was not there at the time.
As reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources stated that over the weekend, an intruder smashed a glass window and attempted to get into the house but was scared off by an employee. The celebrity news site posted a breaking news announcement to its Instagram account, where followers made their feelings known, such as one stating, “Unsettling 😮 glad the couple are fine 🙏”
Keith Urban In Midst of Las Vegas Residency at Time of Reported Break-in
While no specifics were given about the house, a September 2024 report by Architectural Digest indicated that in 2008, the former “American Idol” judge and his Oscar-winning wife purchased a contemporary home in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood of Los Angeles for $4.7 million. The couple is still believed to own the 3,977-square-foot home, which features five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one half bathroom, and a second-floor wraparound deck.
Initial reporting did not include comments from Urban or Kidman. However, as noted in a previous article from EntertainmentNOW, Urban is in the midst of a residency at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and had shows in the BleauLive Theater on February 14 and 15. The limited engagement is scheduled to conclude with three more shows on February 19, 21 and 22.
“I love being in Vegas. I love the energy; I love the whole thing,” Urban said in a September 19 interview with Vegas Magazine. “I send my car out there because I love driving; it’s one of my passions. One of my favorite things to do when I finish the show is to get in my car and drive to where I’m staying. Coming off a rowdy, intense stage and getting in the car on my own, sweaty in stage clothes and doing a leisurely drive home with the windows down, just listening to the sounds of Vegas—it is just heaven.”
Keith Urban Scheduled to Begin World Tour on May 22
On September 20, 2024, Urban announced via Instagram the release of his 11th studio album, “High,” and he is scheduled to begin the High and Alive World Tour on May 22 in Orange Beach, Alabama. In a statement published by Billboard, Urban expressed the joy he feels from sharing a musical experience with the crowd.
“Out of all of the things that have changed in my life, one has been a constant. I love making music,” Urban stated. “The feeling of writing a song that has real magic in it, bringing that song to life in the studio, and then playing it on stage and watching complete strangers sing every word. It’s like walking on the moon (not that I’ve done that YET, but an astronaut hasn’t stood on stage and shredded either so….) My desire is for the ‘flow state,’ and that’s what happened when we started this album ‘HIGH.’ It just FLOWED and I feel the spirit of the whole album really reflects that. I hope you feel that too.”
