Watch The Voice Coaches Bring Down The House With A Feel-Good Performance Of This Classic Eagles Track

The four Voice coaches – Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, and Reba McEntire – strode onstage and gave a seriously soulful performance of the classic Eagles track ‘Heartache Tonight’, blowing up the internet and attracting millions of views in a matter of days in the process. The performance is quite simply sensational, with each of the coaches getting a chance to showcase their own unique singing style before coming together and belting out the song’s uplifting chorus at the end.

First to take the spotlight was Snoop Dogg, who brought some ultra cool vibes to the proceedings and shocked many viewers with his surprisingly smooth vocals. Next came the honeyed tones of Michael Bublé, who strode effortlessly onto the stage looking dapper in a sharp suit, before being joined by stunning harmonies delivered by Queen of Country Reba McEntire and pop icon Gwen Stefani. Together, the four singers gave a star-studded performance that had the audience screaming for more!

The performance itself, meanwhile, carried on the long-held tradition of the programme’s coaches performing a track together in order to signal the beginning of a new series. Such performances serve to increase the hype for the upcoming competition, in which coaches first select their favorite singers based on their vocals alone (hoping to add the best singers to their ‘team’), before coaching the singers they have chosen through the subsequent rounds in the hope one of their team will win.

Another notable pre-season performance that has served to get viewers sufficiently hyped up for the upcoming season of The Voice occurred last year, when Gwen, Reba and then-judges Niall Horan and John Legend joined forces to give a blinding performance of a different Eagles track. This time they chose ‘Take It Easy’, and it was just as well received as ‘Heartache Tonight’. A particularly notable performance that night came courtesy of John Legend, whose vocals were gloriously rich and resonant.

The pre-season performance undertaken by the coaches is a significant part of The Voice’s history nowadays, with many of the show’s viewers claiming that they look forward to the performance as it gets them excited for the season to come. The rendition courtesy of this year’s judges was no exception, with Snoop, Michael, Gwen, and Reba visibly putting their hearts and souls into their rendition of ‘Heartache Tonight’.
