Young Boyband Bring It North Release Rehearsal Footage Filmed Prior To Life-Changing Britain’s Got Talent Performance

In 2018, five-piece boy band Bring It North entered Britain’s Got Talent, charming the nation with their angelic voices and sweet personalities. All five members – Harry, Max, Toby, Oscar, and Felix – were aged between ten and twelve at the time of their BGT audition, during which they performed ‘Electricity’ from the musical Billy Elliot. They were promptly put through to the next round, with judge Alesha Dixon saying that she hoped their performance would inspire more young boys like them.

Sadly, the group was eliminated in the semi-finals, despite having performed a silver-toned cover of ‘A Million Dreams’ from The Greatest Showman. As a treat for heartbroken fans following their exit, however, they uploaded a rehearsal video showing their original version of the cover, which was a lot more vocally complex than the version they performed on television. Comments immediately flooded in from fans across the country, with many complimenting the boys’ aptitude for angelic harmonies.

“These boys harmonize well,” said one fan, while another confessed, “not very many singing videos give me goosebumps, but this one did easily.” The video – which has since been watched by over a million people – is certainly goosebump-inducing, with the group’s beautifully layered vocals and rich harmonies resulting in a truly uplifting cover. Best of all, in the background, you can see the boys’ dads watching with pride, clearly happy to be supporting their young sons in such a brave endeavour.

Bring It North’s elimination from Britain’s Got Talent didn’t mark the end for the group, either – in fact, their time on the show was only the beginning. The five-piece regularly play gigs around the country in the wake of the competition. One clip from 2018, for instance, shows them singing a high-energy cover of The Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’, putting smiles on the faces of the crowd and prompting some viewers to identify them as a likely successor to the popular Motown band.

Whether or not these boys will end up being global stars like The Jackson 5 remains to be seen; their social media channels have been pretty quiet lately, meaning that they’re either cooking up something big or the group members have gone their separate ways. Perhaps their destiny was actually predicted by Simon Cowell back in the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals, who didn’t offer them a recording contract, but rather suggested that they would end up starring in some big West End shows. Whatever they’re up to nowadays, we hope that the five Bring It North boys are still singing and bringing joy to fans all over the UK.
