It’s hard to believe the power that 10-year-old Daneliya Tulyeshova brought to the stage on her smash hit blind audition on The Voice Kids Ukraine. The youngster auditioned on Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold” and absolutely made the power ballad her own with a passionate performance. Before she had even finished the first few lines, judge Monatik turned his chair for Daneliya, followed shortly by Natalia Mohylevska and duo Time and Glass.
Getting a clean sweep from all the judges in a matter of seconds was quite the feat for Daneliya, although she was just getting started. The schoolgirl then let her voice soar over the ballad, showing some serious range and technical skill despite her young age. Best of all, Daneliya really put her soul into the performance and was putting out so much passion that she had the audience in the palm of her hand.
It’s beyond rare to see someone present as such a complete performer and vocalist at just 10 years old. The judges were clearly blown away by Daneliya’s voice, and so were viewers watching at home. Her blind audition was a hit on YouTube, attracting 86.6 million views on the platform. Putting these big numbers on the board made Daneliya’s audition the most popular video on The Voice Kids Ukraine by a substantial margin.
Natalia Mohylevska immediately knew that she had just seen something very special, and declared, “It was the best performance I’ve ever seen in the history of The Voice Kids Ukraine, out of all the seasons. It was fantastic.” Mohylevska then asked Daneliya for an encore, which allowed her to show her versatility by singing Khrystyna Soloviy’s folk tune “Trymai”. Daneliya later appeared on America’s Got Talent, where she sang Faouzia’s “Tears of Gold”.
Daneliya, who is now 17, was born on July 18, 2006, in Astana, Kazakhstan. 2017 was a big year for the young singer, as she won the international competition Hopes of Europe in January before auditioning for The Voice Kids Ukraine later that year.
Daneliya flew through the competition on The Voice and made it to the final, where she performed Okean Elzy’s “Ne tvoya viyna.” The performance was a hit, and she won the competition at just 10 years old. Daneliya subsequently represented Kazakhstan in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018, where she made it to the finals and eventually placed sixth overall.
In June 2020, Daneliya auditioned on America’s Got Talent, getting yes votes from all four judges. In a repeat of her Eurovision placing, she made it to the finals before finishing sixth overall. She has also begun a recording career as a 4 Chords Records artist.
